Menter a Busnes staff raising money for Alzheimer's Society Wales

20 November 2018

Over the past year, Menter a Busnes staff have been busy raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society Wales charity.  Every year, the company chooses a different charity to support and raise money for a one-year period.

In order to raise money and awareness of the charity to both staff and clients, a number of events were held over the year.  Events such as a Health and Wellbeing day, where we were given a presentation on Alzheimer’s, its effect and how the money raised will be spent, as well as a raffle to win an extra day’s holiday, which as you can imagine was very popular!

Each office held their own events to raise money, such as a cupcake day in June, Strictly Come Dancing Sweepstake, sponsored walk and a lunch to celebrate a member of staff’s birthday.

Recently, a cheque for £1,000 was presented to Jess Bowring, Community Fundraiser West Wales at the Alzheimer’s Society.  Jess said “I’d like to thank Menter a Busnes for uniting against dementia this last year. They have been innovative with their ideas and people affected by dementia have always remained at the heart of everything they do. The money they have raised will help so many people across the Wales affected by dementia. By 2021 there will be 1 million people in the UK living with this disease and only by uniting with businesses like Menter a Busnes, we can we take on dementia, together.”

Menter a Busnes staff will be busy raising money for another charity over the coming year.
