Project: Farming Connect
Location: Unrhyw un o swyddfeydd Menter a Busnes. Ystyrier lleoliadau eraill. / Any Menter a Busnes offices. Other locations may be considered.
Salary: £30,278 - £32,300

Farming Connect is a high profile, integrated project which supplies focussed training, support and advice, delivered through a pan-Wales programme of knowledge transfer activities, specialist advice and support for innovation. A key objective is to increase the emphasis on business-focused behaviour, therefore improving profitability, competitiveness and environmental performance of farm, forestry and food businesses in Wales.    Farming Connect is funded through the Rural Development Plan (RDP) 2014 - 2020, which is funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and the Welsh Government.
Location: Bangor, Aberystwyth, Meifod neu Gaerdydd (Caerfyrddin yn opsiwn iír dyfodol / Camarthen a future option)
Salary: £34,670 - £37,703

Background. Menter Moch Cymru went through an 18-month pilot phase up until the end of March 2018 and aimed to increase the Welsh Pig herd through a multi-pronged campaign utilizing genetic and technological developments. An independent evaluation of the pilot phase highlighted the success of the project and concluded that that the sector showed significant promise for growth. A full project proposal was then submitted which has just received approval. This will be a four-year project which will offer Welsh farmers and young farmers in particular, income generating opportunities through maximum utilisation of their farm resources.
