Series of Tourism and Hospitality Events Bring Together Producers and Buyers Across Wales

A series of events co-hosted by Cywain aims to bring producers and buyers together from all across Wales.

The events, held in relaxed settings and hosting tasting and creative sessions have already been successful in creating new connections within the Tourism and Hospitality sector in Wales.

Carmarthesnhire Tourism Summit - 17th October 2018

10 of Cywain's clients attended the Carmarthenshire Tourism Summit under the Cywain banner to promote and sell their products. A very successful 'Talk and Taste' session was delivered by food critique Simon Wright and the ten producers. This was a great event for clients to access new markets to sell within the Tourism and Hospitality sector of Carmarthenshire.

Gate2Plate event - 5th of November 2018

17 Tourism and Hospitality businesses from across South West Wales attended the Gate2Plate event to visit a selection of food businesses in the region.  The visit included a tour of Coles Brewery, Preseli Bluestone Meats and Jabajak Vineyard and also a talk over lunch by Pembrokeshire Goats Cheese and Brooksgrove Farm. The day was a great success and an opportunity to promote the  fantastic produce available in the area and encourage the tourism sector to incorporate more local produce into their menus.
 

Meet the Producer - Corris Craft Centre - 13th November 2018

 
This event was organised in partnership with Mid Wales Tourism and was open to tourism enterprises and hospitality providers across the region, the free event gave businesses the opportunity to meet local food and drink producers as part of a drive to increase the amount of Welsh produce offered to visitors.  Various workshop and tours were arranged during the day including a hamper making workshop; chocolate making workshop by Chocablock; Tour by Dyfi Distillery and tips on making hot festive drinks for guests by Food Skils Cymru. The event  went very well with over 90 in attendance and a lot of new contacts and sales were made during the day.
