A Farming Connect meeting on reducing lambing losses:

John Vipond, a sheep specialist from Scottish Agricultural College.  John is highly regarded as a speaker on sheep management issues, will be discussing the options available to help you improve your flock’s performance.

• Nutritional intervention and diet additives before lambing
• Management systems to reduce labour requirements
• Lambing outside in poor weather
• Improving lambing survival rates

In his presentation he will be encouraging the adoption of research developments he believes will offer practical advantages to livestock farmers and their animals.

John Richards from Hybu Cig Cymru (Meat Promotion Wales) will be reporting on the results of their recent Lambing Losses Survey.
